Examples of clubs we run (these do change term to term)

At Lakefield we value the opportunities of extra curricular activities to enhance and extend the children’s learning experiences in school.
Monday
Homework Club
Mrs Ford will be available in her classroom at lunchtime for any Junior children who would like support with their homework or just a quiet space to work in. This club will be a ‘drop-in’ with children able to sign up on a week by week basis.
Infant music and singing
Miss Roberts and Miss Maidment will be forming an Infant choir and musical group with Classes 1 and 2. If you like singing, playing percussion instruments and dancing to music then this is the club for you! Come along and have some musical fun!
Hockey club
Mrs Lee and Debi Howell will be running a Hockey club for children in Classes 4, 5 and 6. Come along and improve your Invasion game skills. There will be a Hockey tournament at the end of term for those showing exceptional skills, commitment and a positive sporting attitude.
Tuesday
Street Dance
Children in Classes 2 and 3 have the opportunity to learn some funky new moves in Street Dance club with Miss Holly. Miss Holly is a qualified dance teacher and ran a successful club with us last year.
Wednesday
Craft Club
Miss Rickard and Miss MacLean will be running a craft club for children in Classes 3 and 4. Come along and have lots of fun with arts and crafts including clay, sewing and jewellery making.
Cross Stitch
Mrs Clements will be running a cross-stitch club for children in Classes 5 and 6. Come and improve your sewing technique while making a beautiful keepsake to take home.
Infant FUNS and sports
Mr Valentine from Atlas Sports will be with us offering a sports club for children in Classes 1 and 2. Come and learn lots of new skills and techniques as well as playing team games such as football.
Tag Rugby
Jason Boon is running Tag Rugby for children in Classes 3 and 4. Are you the next England Rugby star?
Thursday
Tag Rugby
Jason Boon is offering Tag Rugby to children in Classes 5 and 6. There will be a tournament at the end of term for those showing commitment, a positive sporting attitude and a will to succeed.
Tennis
Jason Boon is running Tennis session for children in Classes 1 - 6. There will be a charge for this club and a separate letter will be sent out to those who are interested.
Friday
Maths booster
Mr Williams is running a Maths booster club for Class 6 children to receive extra support and practise with their maths.
