Our links with our Church community
Lakefield Church of England Primary School takes great pride in being associated with the Churches within our community. We visit the local Churches on a rota basis throughout the school year for different events and services.
These events include:
- Experience Christmas
- Experience Pentecost
- Experience Church
- Carol concerts
- Christingle
- Church run events
- iSingPop
- Messy Church
The local clergy are an intrinsic part of our school and take collective worship on a weekly basis. The worship follows our whole school and community collective Christian values of:
- Respect
- Trust
- Truthfulness
- Perseverance
- Courage
- Friendship
- Forgiveness (underpinning all others)
As well as underpinning our whole school Christian foundation.
Our links with our wider Church community don't end there with Lakefield being used, on an annual basis, for clergy meetings including the Synod, linking with Gloucester Cathedral, organising confirmation classes as an after school activity (click here for photographs of the baptism and confirmation of the children) and linking further afield with a Church in Kenya as part of our international perspective.
